| As the title says. The aim of this is to make sure that all of us, even if it's short, can say that we have read a book or two. Or maybe, a great number already. It doesn't matter how you read the book (online, downloaded or a physical object) what matters is that you read it. List down here the books that you have read (so that we know if you are a bookworm or not) and are planning to read. If you can, put a deadline, too. It doesn't matter what language the book is or if it was translated by people online, what matters is that you have read it from cover to cover. OH YEAH! This does not include picture/kiddy books or graphic novels. Here's my list: (if I used the strike tag, that means I've read it and will try to review/put up a summary of it.) A Walk to Remember The Notebook The Princess Bride A Christmas Carol A Little Princess Alice's Adventures in Wonderland Anne of Green Gables Anne of Avonlea Anne of the Island
Dracula Grimm's Fairy Tales Hans Andersen's Fairy Tales Heidi
King Arthur and His Knights of the Round Table Little Women Oliver Twist Rip Van Winkle and Other Stories
Tales of the Greek Heroes The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn The Adventures of Robin Hood The Adventures of Tom Sawyer The Extraordinary Cases of Sherlock Holmes The Great Adventures of Sherlock Holmes
The Secret Garden What Katy Did
Wuthering Heights Ella Enchanted The Three Musketeers
A Tale of Two Cities Through the Looking Glass and What Alice Found There
The Thief Lord Dragon Rider Inkheart Inkspell Inkdeath Diary of a Wimpy Kid Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Last Straw Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days
Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Ugly Truth
Notes from a Totally Lame Vampire The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones The Mortal Instruments: City of Ashes The Mortal Instruments: City of Glass The Mortal Instruments: City of Fallen Angels The Infernal Devices: Clockwork Angel Septimus Heap: Magyk Septimus Heap: Flyte Septimus Heap: Physik Septimus Heap: Queste Septimus Heap: Syren Septimus Heap: Darke The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel: The Alchemyst The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel: The Magician The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel: The Sorceress The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel: The Necromancer The Picture of Dorian Gray
Yes, that is the long list of books I plan to read. Start date: February 22, 2010 (yes, I have already started) End date: May 31, 2012 I haven't even added the...10(?) books I plan on buying within the year. Do not get shocked if reviews and summaries start popping up left and right here. ....40 books, more or less, in under a year? God, help me!

| I just scrolled through the list. It's really long. But to be honest, i jelly.
Why? Because I actually want to read books to improve my writing but I can't pick one, and I might tire of it immediately. I really can't have the patience you bookworms have.
Well, you didn't state manga, so is it allowed then? Heh, I doubt.
I still can't believe you can read all those books in just a year. Really.

| Well, I've read those 20 (did not include the Notebook, A walk to remember, Inkhear/spell/death and Dragon Rider because I read them before the start date) books from End of Feb to sometime in December last year. Not so spectacular. That's like 10 months? 2 books a month. Very slow. that means...yep, I will finish this in 2012. And to think I got stuck with A Tale of Two Cities and Wuthering Heights.
Yes, manga is not allowed. It is a graphic novel. You should try reading...Tales of the Greek Heroes. They're just summarized stories of Greek Mythology. You will probably like it. Or King Arthur and His Knights of the Round Table. What's nice about them is that you don't need to read it continuously because each chapter is more or less stand-alone. If you want, try searching for a free ebook of this. And then, try reading it.

| Hm, okay then. But won't be able to even come close to your reading habits.
Might try it. When I feel like it.
Oh, I almost forgot, I did read a Light Novel, but hey, I won't consider that. I just read bits and parts of it. The parts that I found interesting, I mean.

| My reading habits are bad. Especially when I have a "not up to reading" streak. Like now. I can't move on much with Magyk. Lol, I remember me reading Fate/Zero translation. I just went "ctrl + F Gilgamesh/Archer" and read those parts. | |

Lol, I remember me reading Fate/Zero translation. I just went "ctrl + F Gilgamesh/Archer" and read those parts. Ah, really. But I'd imagine my reading habits are worse. I don't remember reading books like those. If I did, I probably didn't finish them and forgot all about them. I knew you'd do that. Of course you would.

| LOL. Oh well, but you're bound to be more committed than I. So, maybe you'll be better. | |

Me? Committed? What makes you think that? I'd only read one book at a time. I wouldn't list them down like this. If I did, I'd get less motivated to actually finish them. I don't like long lists.

| You are committed. You actually don't cram. Not like me.
Well, okay, but as this is a project, you should try reading one book. No matter how thin it is.

Well, okay, but as this is a project, you should try reading one book. No matter how thin it is. No, I cram for tests. What made you say I don't? I'm still quite surprised you consider me committed. Anyway, any non mythical books you can recommend? I always like a good story.

| I only study for tests 10 minutes before said test. At least you study the previous day/night. Dracula! Alice Adventure's in Wonderland - if you want to be and to read a short story that you can finish in a day's worth. The Extraordinary Adventures of Sherlock Holmes Diary of a Wimpy Kid - it's funny! I recommend this the most. | |

| I might try Sherlock or Diary. I don't know where to get my hands on those though. Maybe I'll try the magical internet. | |

| I'll lend you Diary. Or Sherlock. Whichever. Although, Diary has already passed by many, many hands. | |

I'll go with Diary, then. So I'd have a reason in case I potentially damage it. Just kidding.

| Thanks to you, I've read the whole Diary of a Wimpy Kid series. Up until The Ugly Truth, I mean. Hooray.
Diary of a Wimpy Kid Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Last Straw Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Ugly Truth
And I'm planning on reading Sherlock Holmes next. That is, if I find time to actually read it.
